Some watch companies (JLC, Rolex) plated their cases to 80 microns thick back in the 50's into the 60's. i just saw today a gold plated daydate precision 6694 and it had a 7215 band and all goldplated did rolex make goldplated watches. i thought it was fake but my friend who had it say it was real so i need an expert to tell me.
